The Card Life: Postseason

This month, we're living vicariously through the eyes of our host, and focusing on the postseason. Matt Strahm reviews the longest postseason run of his career with the Phillies, and details what he is collecting that celebrates it. A Houston collector shares what sparked his interest in a World Series focused set of baseball cards (Fleer Laughlin World Series) as a child, and how it became his central passion in collecting. We present our 2023 Holiday Gift Guide that provides gift ideas for the collector in your life, that is good long after the holiday season is over. Strahmy also interviews the Candy Digital Head of Partnerships, Matt Novogratz, about how Candy has taken the lead in digital MLB cards. Novogratz explains how they helped fill a void for fans wanting to remember their attendance at 2023 Postseason MLB games. Twin boys with different football team allegiances rip some wax from Giant Sports Cards and we also open a box of 2023 Topps Pristine at the Giant store in Alpharetta, Georgia. CGC Cards also shows off an incredibly rare Jackie Robinson card that just went through grading.

“We wanted to make a show that’s accessible for non-collectors, so that all sports fans can really understand why the hobby is so special. Sports cards aren’t nearly as niche as they were 10 or 20 years ago, and I think The Card Life really showcases all the exciting ways they’ve evolved.”
